Jose Mourinho hails Sir Alex Ferguson

Jose Mourinho is in Manchester for Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League tie with Manchester City and has spoken out and hailed Sir Alex Ferguson’s achievements with Manchester United over the past 26-years in charge.

Away from the pitch Mourinho and Ferguson have always had a mutual respect for each other, not only that, but enjoyed the odd glass of red together also while Jose was manager of Chelsea.

Mourinho had this to say:

“He’s unique, especially in the modern day.”

“If you go back many years, then you will find somebody like him but [it’s amazing] in the modern day at the highest level, where it is really difficult to survive in our job.”

“He’s absolutely incredible at what he does and we can’t even imagine when he’ll stop. He’s unbelievable.”

Manchester United are set to unveil a brand new statue of Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford on Friday, media and fans are invited to the event which Sir Alex is rumoured to be joined by some big names that have been apart of his history at the club.

The unveiling is at 2pm at the entrance to the Sir Alex Ferguson stand, originally the North Stand.

What Jose says is true: our Fergie is incredible. We don’t realize how lucky we are. We should appreciate him more, a true legend.
