Dimitar Berbatov signs for Fulham

Dimitar Berbatov is now a Fulham player after completing a medical in London this afternoon (Thursday).

Martin Jol has always been a fan of Berbatov, and this move reunites them against after Jol purchased Berbatov from Bayer Leverkusen to Tottenham back in 2006 for £11m.

Jol hopes to include the Bulgarian in his squad for Saturday’s trip across London to West Ham United.

The reported fee is around £4.8m for the Bulgarian striker.

Football experts in Bulgaria believe the transfer and regular football at Fulham could also lead to Berbatov going back into international football.

Earlier this year, Berbatov, said he would be open to an approach from coach Luboslav Penev after he moved to a club where he could play regularly.
