Since launching back in the summer of 2012, it has been a fantastic few years for all those involved at RedMancunian, the growth of the website, social media and podcast. But over the last few months the website itself has taken a back-seat due to other commitments, and with many of our writers moving onto bigger and better things including now writing for Nationals, we’re on the look out to re-vamp the RedMancunian: Manchester United website through-out 2015 with a host of new staff members across the board.
One of the largest followed Manchester United websites on the internet, RedMancunian, is looking for talented writers to join its digital team.
RedMancunian is based in Manchester, but you do not have to be from Manchester to work with us or be apart of our team. All our positions, apart from the podcast, are open to everyone, Worldwide.
We have a number a roles that are to be filled over the coming months. The writing role, in which we’re looking for a number of long term candidates, involves writing and building news stories, features and minute-by-minute live blogs for RedMancunian. Our target is to supply maximum coverage of Manchester United, to be available at the click of a button to a Worldwide audience.
A background, or study in digital journalism and Manchester United knowledge to excel in this role is required, but not essential, we’re more than happy to give the right candidates a chance. Successful candidates will also understand the demands of this competitive online industry and consider areas such as SEO and social to be key ingredients of any successful website.
In 2015, we’re looking to branch out over a network of footballing websites, so if you’re not successful for the main RedMancunian: Manchester United website then all applications will be kept on our database for other projects.
Above all, applicants must be able to deliver high quality and error-free submissions, whether that be daily Manchester United news, to match day and opinionated pieces.
We are afraid at this moment in time, we’re unable to reward writers with payment for their time on the website, with high server running costs, along with various other outlays that are involved in running a large website, we cannot reward team-members with cash advantages for working with us, hopefully once the website grows further over time, we can reward those involved.
