Manchester United first-team coach René Meulensteen who departed from the club earlier this week, is now linked with the assistant manager role at Anzhi Makhachkala alongside Guus Hiddink.
It was revealed today that David Moyes had offered René Meulensteen the assistant manager job at Manchester United for next season, in which he declined.
Manchester United announced Meulensteen’s departure on Wednesday after 12 years with the club.
Watch René Meulensteen interview after departure announcement:
A massive overhaul of backroom staff at United is happening over the next week with Sir Alex Ferguson, Mike Phelan, goalkeeping coach Eric Steele and kit-man Albert Morgan all set to official leave on 30th June.
David Moyes has reportedly come to an agreement to bring in first-team coach Jimmy Lumdsen, goalkeeping coach Chris Woods and assistant Steve Round from Everton.
As Moyes starts his official managerial post at Carrington on Monday, with the players back in on Wednesday morning, it is a big week of change for Manchester United.

That’s a load of BS, if Moyes truly offered Rene the Asst Mgr job don’t think he would be leaving…..must have been laced with unacceptable conditions or restrictions which essentially put Rene in a redundant role that’s why he is leaving……..we all know that in management you can offer nice positions but don’t have the necessary empowerment to influence the outcome or shape your own performance, which essentially the guy is telling you nicely to take a hike……..Frankly Moyes is village boy standard……would be interesting to see how he handles Europe without Rene’s experience on European nights.
I dnt not moyes is doing see now rell hav poot hand on thiago
