Manchester United beat Wigan Athletic 4-0 on New Years Day with the help of a fantastic brace from both Javier Hernandez and Robin van Persie.
Javier Hernandez put the visitors ahead in the 35th minute after good work in the box from Patrice Evra, forcing the keeper to parry direct to Hernandez on the edge of the six-yard box for a cool and calm finish into the back of the net.
Javier Hernandez’s second for Manchester United came in the 63rd minute after a Robin van Persie free-kick was deflected into the box, Hernandez capitalized and with a first time shot fired United into a 3-0 lead.
