Manchester United’s Paul Scholes will miss Wednesday nights visit from West Ham United at Old Trafford due to his fifth booking of the season which he received on Saturday against Queens Park Rangers after a late challenge on Kieron Dyer.
Due to the Barclay’s Premier League rules if a player is booked five-times during their suspension period then that player must serve a one-game ban. The current period is from August until the end of the year.
Paul Scholes has seen yellow this season against Stoke City, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Everton & Queens Park Rangers.
During his Premier League career Paul Scholes has been issued 95 yellow cards, he sits third in the all time bookings for the league behind Kevin Davies and Lee Bowyer.
Anderson impressed and changed the game when he came on against QPR on Saturday and could be an option to start against West Ham United along with Carrick, Cleverley and Ryan Giggs all fit, giving Sir Alex Ferguson a good squad depth for Wednesday night.
