Manchester United youngsters Luke Giverin and Gyliano Van Velzen are all set to join Royal Antwerp (RAFC) for the remainder of the 2012 / 2013 season.
A statement on Royal Antwerp’s official website was released this morning, translated into English it reads:
Royal Antwerp FC today is pleased to announce the arrival of two young Mancunians. Gyliano van Velzen (4/14/1994) and Luke Giverin (04/02/1993) have experience in the Reserves with head coach Warren Joyce, now both looking to play more at a competitive level with Antwerp.
Gyliano van Velzen is a 18-year-old winger, who in November 2010 made the move from Ajax Amsterdam. The youngster can use his speed and athletic ability are best from the feet on the left flank, though other attacking positions not foreign to him. Also at the national coaches of Orange he is known, making it all caps for the U15, U16 and U17 could collect. The Amsterdam looked for inspiration to United icons as Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo and hopes their level to match. We hope he already showed his talent show at the Tawny Owl!
Also Luke Giverin is in Carrington many expected. The 19 year old talent is a left back, but can also lined up to play. The defensive asset was born in the shadow of Manchester and plays all of his 7th year of life for United, where in 2009 he signed his first professional contract. His main qualities are fit, insight and workers mentality, which he recently in favor of the team leaders played. So if Giverin after a series of good performances already make his debut in the main body of the Red Devils in the Harry Gregg testimonial, but first he wants to continue his development in Deurne North. We wish him every success!
