Manchester United travelling squad for Fulham away revealed

Manchester United centre-backs Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro have both been declared fit enough to feature in Manchester United’s squad for Sunday evening’s Premier League clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The pair had to be substituted during Thursday’s 2-1 Europa League victory over Rangers at Old Trafford, with head coach Ruben Amorim later suggesting the changes were precautionary.

De Ligt was replaced by Harry Maguire at half-time after experiencing a leg issue, while Yoro was withdrawn shortly after the break, appearing to be in some discomfort as he limped off the pitch towards the dugout.

Post-match, Amorim provided an update on the duo’s condition, saying: “Leny has some pain, and Matthijs, I think, has a bruise or a knock. Leny was a bit tired, as he’s been playing a lot recently, so we need to be careful. We’ll assess them and see how they are.”

Both players were seen arriving at a meeting point on Saturday afternoon, along with the rest of the squad, ahead of the team’s journey to London by train from Stockport Station.

Additionally, Noussair Mazraoui, who missed the Rangers game due to a knock, was also pictured arriving. Although listed as a substitute on the club’s official website and app, it was later clarified that Mazraoui was absent as a precaution after picking up an injury against Brighton & Hove Albion the previous weekend.

In other updates, Victor Lindelof is in contention for inclusion in the matchday squad for the first time since the 4-3 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup before Christmas. The Swedish defender was named in the travelling squad and took part in last Wednesday’s open training session ahead of the Rangers fixture.

Other notable arrivals included Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Kobbie Mainoo, and Rasmus Højlund.

Notably, Andre Onana, Harry Maguire, and Amad were not seen at the meeting point, though they are expected to be part of the travelling party.

The confirmed travelling squad members confirmed by the MEN, information obtained from photographs from Eeamon and James Clark are as follows: Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia, Manuel Ugarte, Christian Eriksen, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Joshua Zirkzee, and Rasmus Højlund.
