Lisandro Martinez has journeyed alongside the Manchester United squad as they prepare for their Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur in London on Saturday, although the participation of Harry Maguire remains uncertain.
Martinez was substituted off during the 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night due to an ankle issue, but manager Erik ten Hag confirmed his participation in training on Thursday.
Former United captain Maguire was conspicuously absent when the team arrived at Stockport Station on Friday afternoon according to the MEN News.
Throughout the last season, United clinched eight wins in away games in the Premier League. However, they managed to emerge victorious against only one of the top 12 teams.
Commenting on Man Utd’s away performances, Ten Hag stated,
“This season, one of our objectives is to enhance our performance in away games to secure more points and elevate our standing. This forms the fundamental basis for accumulating more points.”
“Often, it hinges on the players’ personality. I demand that our players exhibit more personality on the pitch to triumph in such matches and amass more points in away fixtures.”
Departing from Stockport Station to Euston, United chose train travel for their journey, a departure from the practice of internal flights for match commutes that drew criticism for its environmental impact.
