Manchester United have this afternoon officially announced their second summer signing of the transfer window, just a day after announcing the £47million deal Fred from Brazil.
As we reported yesterday, Diogo Dalot had completed his Manchester United medical at Carrington and agreed personal terms with the official announcement to come in due course, and an announcement that the social media team at United have gone with today, signing a five-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year.
The 19-year-old defender, who joins the red devils from FC Porto, in a deal that is said to be around 22 million euros.
Diogo Dalot is currently out of action with a small knee injury but is said to be planning on returning to training at the end of this month.
In the footballing world, Dalot is very thought after as a huge prospect. Teams across Europe were interested in signing to 19-year-old before Manchester United did, teams including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
