Manchester United on Hazard watch

Despite the incredible records of West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Leicester City, and the very tight battle at the top of the league, the top story every week is that Chelsea are in turmoil.

After comfortably winning the Premier League last season, José Mourinho’s men sit in 15th, on 11 points.

The London club has seen very little turnover in their team, and still have the personnel to field the line up that Mourinho would use in almost every game last season.

Now there are stories that one of Chelsea’s best players want away from Stamford Bridge. L’Équipe, a French sport news outlet, has revealed that Eden Hazard has informed his international team mates that he wants to leave the Blues.

In 2012, and Hazard was about to make his move away from LOSC Lille, there were just two teams in contention. Manchester United and Chelsea. Fans of both teams waited, watching their Twitter accounts, to see who he would reveal as his new club.

The Red Devils were left disappointed when he said that he’d join the current Champions League champions [Chelsea].

But now there’s a chance to snap up the incredibly skilful Belgian. Manchester United are in the running against Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona to sign Hazard.

But, the Manchester clubs have the edge. This is because, reportedly, Real Madrid and Barça would not make a move for Hazard until next summer. Hazard is apparently sick of Mourinho’s “lack of ambition” and wants away as soon as possible so the Prem clubs have the edge.

This season Eden Hazard has been humbled to just 3 assists in his 14 appearances which is a huge drop in production in comparison to his 52 game, 19 goal and 13 assist campaign of 2014/15.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
