Morgan Schneiderlin has been a revelation at Old Trafford this season. He has been crucial to Manchester United in keeping their 3 clean sheets in 3 Premier League games.
He signed for United this summer from Southampton for £24.5 million and has played 90 minutes in each Prem game so far. After being chased by Arsenal and Tottenham for a couple of seasons, he eventually made his move to the Red half of Manchester.
The Frenchman, speaking to France Football, displayed his admiration of Roy Keane, former United captain and 7 time Premier League champion:
“I hope to become one. Because he is a legend here,”
“Aside from that, he has a different personality to me. I speak less than he did on the pitch. But I hope to one day have the same impact that he had on the team.”
“His scuffles with Patrick Vieira, when United and Arsenal were competing with each other, they were memorable. I watched a documentary on the rivalry between the two, it was interesting.”
Schneiderlin faces some tough competition for his place with: World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger; Michael Carrick and; Ander Herrera all being in United’s ranks, fighting for a spot in the starting eleven.
