Real Madrid have put the breaks on the transfer rumours, linking Gareth Bale to Manchester United, and say that there will be no Bale deal. He is apparently ‘not for sale at any price’.
Bale fits van Gaal’s quota of a creative and quick winger. But, Real Madrid only broke the transfer record, to bring Bale to Spain, just two seasons ago. The 26 year old would most likely cost another record fee just to convince the Bernabeu to enter into negotiations.
There has been unrest among the Los Blancos fans as many of them haven’t taken to the Welshman. Despite him being crucial to Real Madrid’s Champions League win, and scoring the goal to put Madrid ahead in the final, he is still out of favour with the Bernabeu crowd.
With incidents of his vehicle being attacked by fans, stories of unrest between him and team mate Ronaldo and now, he’s been left out of the Madrid fan voted preferred line up.
The line up included: Navas, Marcelo, Varane, Ramos, Carvajal, Modric, Kroos, Ronaldo, Isco, Rodriguez and Benzema. The Welshman has scored 39 goals in 93 games for Real Madrid, and at age 26 and with the fans on his back, this will be Bale’s make or break season.
If Manchester United seriously wanted Bale then it may be better to make a move for him next season, hoping that he doesn’t improve enough to sway the fans. As it stands, Bale’s fee wouldn’t warrant his transfer.
