PICTURES: Manchester United Training In The USA

Manchester United team have commenced training for the new season, but more immediately, their first friendly of pre season against CONCACAF Champions League winners Club America.

New midfield pair, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin, participated in light practice with their new team mates. United’s other two new signings, Depay and Darmian, were also training in Seattle.

The Red Devils are starting their pre season at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, home to last years NFL Superbowl finalists the Seattle Seahawks. Players enjoyed looking around the dressing rooms and some even tried on bits of American Football gear.

Some players however didn’t make the trip. Rafael and Victor Valdes were left at home and; Argentinian duo, Rojo and Di Maria, have been given extra rest time after competing in the Copa America, and losing the final on penalties to hosts Chile.

Amidst heavy links to Real Madrid, David De Gea, like the true professional that he is, has joined the Red Devils on their pre season tour of the states. This does however blur Spaniard’s future, but hopefully for United, it increases the chances of him staying at Old Trafford.

The players all appeared to be enjoying the experience and eager to get going again. And with the way United are currently playing the transfer market, it seems very unlikely that this will be the full team come Saturday 8th August.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
