Radamel Falcao was dropped out of Louis Van Gaal’s squad in the last home fixture against Southampton. The decision was strange from the Dutchman specially after 5 consecutive starts for the Falcao in the last 5 games. Both -the player and coach- did talk last Monday and Falcao was told that the decision was based on pure tactics.
In the press conference Louis Van Gaal said “I decided he is out of the 18 because I have to change Luke Shaw and Angel Di Maria for example. You have to look at the needs of your selection at the time. Marouane Fellaini came in and because of his substitution we created three chances.”
He explained: “When you see the composition of my bench and I want to change the playing style with Fellaini, I don’t have any position for a second striker [on the bench]. Also I have Rooney.”
Van Gaal’s decision has opened several talks regarding the future of the Colombian at the Old Trafford. His performance in numbers is not quite promising (3 goals & 3 assists in 12 games) but the player has revealed before that he is happy at Manchester United: “My family are comfortable. We’re enjoying life in Manchester and here at the club. The people have been great with me, with my family. We’re happy and very grateful.”.
Falcao – 28 years old- was considered as a massive boost for United’s attack beside the swinging Robin van Persie, the young James Wilson & the Captain Wayne Rooney.
El Tigre holds a very good record during his past experiences that doesn’t belong to nobody except a world-class striker.

Less than half a season left for the tiger to prove himself for the club and fans, which makes him in a fight with time to be more fit and ready for the manager’s call. The injury that stroke him made his plans more tight and squeezed in the coming months, I hope he proves that he deserves the number 9.

Why will he score(@falcao) when he’s not giving the opportunity to?…y should wilson who is just coming up bench a world-class player? Is there sanity in that decision…when it’s not as if he’s injured…I think Van Gaal doesn’t know what to do…he has all he needs but he’s not utilizing them well…we have problem with midfield and u re getting us a keeper…we need a defensive midfield u re bidding 4 bale…pls tell. Me what’s the sense in that?….fergie caused some of d prob we are facing now…he shouldn’t av sold pogba…he sold pogba cz of one lazy england boy (cleverly) and wea is he today? If I were pogba I won’t come back…get us a stubborn midfielder and that settles it…
You could say the same almost about Van Persie,he does,nt look all that fit and does,nt do much. and even Roony,recently his passing has been bad.The last game with Southampton,United played very toothless and Van Gaal is to blame,playing them out of position.Falcao at least tries his best and has been handy,fit or not.The problem maybe is the philosophy of ticking off boxes and scibbling notes,instead of getting off the bench and showing some passion and motivation if it,s not going to his specific plan.With Van Gaal it will all end up as boring as Barcelona,yawn.
