Wilfried Zaha, who has yet to kick start his career at Manchester United, could be set for a loan move when the January transfer window comes around, with his former club Crystal Palace at the top of the list.
Zaha has struggled to gain a squad selection place at Manchester United since joining up in the summer. The Premier League Champions signed the England under-21 international last January for £15million, in which he was instantly loaned back to Crystal Palace.
Steve Parish, chairman of Crystal Palace is more than open to bring back Wilfried Zaha for the rest of the season, especially if he can play first team football every week and help the club in their mission to survive in the Premier League.
Palace are not the only Premier League outfit that are currently interested in loaning the United winger, Newcastle United and Fulham are also rumoured to be keeping tabs on the situation at Old Trafford. Given the choice Zaha may be more welcoming to return to his former club in which he is greatly fond of.
Speaking with a local newspaper, Crystal Palace chairman, Steve Parish said:
“If he is available, we would definitely be interested
“We don’t know yet whether he will be available in January and there is a lot of football to be played between now and then, but if he is, we will certainly be staking a big claim to get him.”
A loan move until the end of the 2013/14 season could be the best option for Zaha and Manchester United. Best to gain experience in the Premier League rather than being stuck in United’s under-21s.
