Manchester United this evening will start their Barclays under-21 Premier League campaign with a fixture against Liverpool at new home location, Salford City Stadium.
Last season, Salford City Stadium was host to United’s 1-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur and has now been officially announced to be the new home location for most Manchester United under-21 games through-out the 2013/14 season.
Manchester United reserve manager Warren Joyce welcomed the move from Moss Lane to Salford City.
Speaking with manutd.com, Joyce said:
“It’s great to know we are going to be playing the majority of our games at the Salford City Stadium. We played there in April and had a great experience, the facilities are second to none. We are looking forward to kicking off the season there against Liverpool on Monday.”
