Manchester United have made five changes to their starting lineup for tonight’s Premier League clash against Fulham. After their midweek victory over Rangers, United are looking to build momentum, and manager Ruben Amorim has freshened up his side with adjustments across all areas of the pitch.
Andre Onana returns to goal in place of Altay Bayindir, while Harry Maguire is brought into central defence to replace Leny Yoro. Noussair Mazraoui returns at wing-back, and Bruno Fernandes moves into central midfield, where he will partner Manuel Ugarte. Amad Diallo shifts back to his preferred attacking midfield position, and Rasmus Højlund is selected ahead of Joshua Zirkzee in attack.
Victor Lindelof makes his first appearance in a United squad since their Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Tottenham last month. Marcus Rashford, however, did not travel to London and has now been absent from United’s last 10 matches in all competitions. Although he was an unused substitute during the loss to Newcastle in December, he remains unavailable for this fixture.
Alejandro Garnacho keeps his place in the starting lineup despite ongoing transfer speculation, with Chelsea and Napoli both reportedly interested in signing the 20-year-old before the transfer window closes. Although United could still decide to sell Garnacho in the coming days, Amorim is pleased to have him available for now.
“He is our player, and I am really happy with Garnacho,” Amorim told TNT Sports. “He is improving a lot and I think he had a very good game last Thursday. He is a young kid, so he can recover very well, so he is prepared for this game. We want to use all of the talent of Garnacho to help us win.”
