Manchester United winger Antony has completed a loan move to La Liga side Real Betis as the 24-year-old looks to revitalise his career following a challenging period at Old Trafford.
The Brazil international made the switch to United from Ajax in 2022 for a reported £80 million ($97.3m), but he has yet to meet the expectations that came with such a hefty price tag. He currently stands as the second most expensive signing in the club’s history, behind only Paul Pogba.
Antony has contributed 12 goals in 95 appearances for United, with the majority of his outings coming under former manager Erik ten Hag, who had worked with the winger at Ajax and played a key role in bringing him to Manchester.
The Brazilian is contracted to Manchester United until 2027, with an option for an additional year, keeping him at the club until 2028 if the extension is triggered.
