Manchester United are currently in the process of evaluating the medical fitness of Altay Bayindir as they consider a summer acquisition with the Turkish international going through a pre-medical examination by United over in Greece.
Insights from The Athletic suggest that the Red Devils have had their eye on the Fenerbahce shot-stopper for some time. However, they’re keen to understand the extent of certain back issues the 25-year-old has experienced before sealing the deal.

With the aim to find a high-quality understudy for Andre Onana, United’s manager Erik ten Hag believes Bayindir could fit the bill.
Highly esteemed in Turkey, Bayindir could potentially be an excellent deputy at Old Trafford, but sealing a deal for the Fenerbahce star isn’t guaranteed just yet.
Provided the medical evaluations come back positive, The Athletic notes that a modest sum of just over £4 million could secure the player.
Boasting an imposing height of 6ft 6in, Bayindir’s credentials include impressive shot-stopping skills and a commanding presence aerially. With a tally of 162 goals conceded in 145 appearances for Fenerbahce, he’s also managed 44 shutouts.
While some might argue he might not be the prime choice for the main goalkeeping role at Old Trafford, as a backup, he seems a worthy choice.
A potential £4 million transfer of Altay Bayindir to Manchester United could be a shrewd move for the Premier League titans this summer.
