Manchester United released information on their official website on Tuesday evening regarding a injury that was picked up last weekend during the teams 2-0 loss down in London to Tottenham Hotspur.
The announced that Mason Mount is likely to be sidelined for Saturday’s match against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford after sustaining an injury in the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Spurs.
The minor setback could see Mason Mount unavailable until the upcoming international break, thus missing out on Nottingham Forest and Arsenal matches before the break.
Mason Mount made his competitive debut for the team in a 1-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford just last week, the England midfielder has since featured in both Premier League matches this season.
The clubs summer signing has yet to set the world on fire for Manchester United, but Erik ten Hag sees Mount playing a deeper role in the squad.
Manchester United signed midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea earlier this summer, signing a contract until the end of the 2027-28 season, with the option of a further year.
With the news of Mounts injury, it is likely that Scott McTominay will be handed some game time over the next few weeks in the lead up to the International break.
