Mason Greenwood to be reinstated as soon as next week

Manchester United is reportedly poised to unveil Mason Greenwood’s return to the club in the upcoming week.

Significant developments have unfolded within the past 24 hours. On Wednesday afternoon, Manchester United issued a statement confirming the conclusion of their investigation into the events that led to the 21-year-old’s arrest last year.

Although the Red Devils maintained that a definitive decision had not yet been reached, an extensive report by The Athletic indicated that Richard Arnold, Manchester United’s Chief Executive, informed senior personnel on August 4 that the England international would be resuming his association with the club.

It is purported that Arnold had intended to record a video to elucidate the club’s verdict. However, this announcement did not transpire before the inception of the 2023-24 Premier League campaign.

In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested under suspicion of rape and assault. Subsequently, he faced additional arrests on allegations of sexual assault and threats to kill.

The Englishman was also confronted with charges of attempted rape, participation in controlling and coercive conduct, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm. Nevertheless, these charges were dropped in February, thus enabling him to recommence his professional journey this season.

Notions of Greenwood embarking on a loan move have subsided, while the likelihood of a permanent departure is considered exceedingly improbable.

As reported by The Sun, it is anticipated that Manchester United will reintegrate the forward into their fold next week, effectively concluding the speculation with an official announcement.

The report asserts that Greenwood enjoys the support of head coach Erik ten Hag and his fellow players at Old Trafford. The ultimate decision is now expected to rest with Arnold.

Given his absence from competitive play and training since January 2022, Greenwood would not be immediately ready for the senior squad at Old Trafford.

Consequently, it is understood that the forward might feature for Manchester United’s Under-23 team in the forthcoming months, with the objective of regaining his physical form after an extended hiatus.

Reportedly, Manchester United had refrained from announcing Greenwood’s situation until after the Women’s World Cup, where England is set to face Spain in the final on Sunday.

Throughout his professional career, the forward has amassed 129 appearances for the 20-time English champions, contributing 35 goals and 12 assists in the process.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!

Maguire: Being welcomed directly back into the United and England squads after being found GUILTY of Physically assaulting policemen and attempted bribery. Kept his captaincy to boot!
Ronaldo: Offered a kings ransom to return too United. Accused of a similar act as Greenwood’s.
Adidas: United’s main sponsor accused of Child Labour practices and company founded by 2 nazis.
The hypocrisy here is nauseating.

Those who think they alone supports United and calling for Greenwood not to be reinstated into the team are in the minority, we Love him so much. We’re therefore calling for him joining the team

If it is true that Greenhood and his accuser have reconciled and have a Baby as a result of their relationship, any of us who loves and cherishes justice should support them to be welcomed back to Manchester united and be able to live together as a responsible family.

In any case, we saw glimpses of Greenhood when he was a teenager which pointed to the fact that he was a substantive future threat to all superstars in the position he plays football. No wonder, those who are against Manchester United are hell-bent on campaigning for his departure from the club. They know that it would strengthen the club.

Nothing has been proven against Greenwood – all charges dropped – surely this young man deserves the chance to regain his, previously, good reputation.
If not – what price justice?
