Manchester United have reportedly had a €65million (£57million) bid turned down by Inter Milan for Milan Skriniar, with the Italian club set to offer him a new contract instead.
The latest revelations according to La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper state that Manchester United have made a bid for the Slovakia international, but Inter Milan insist that he is absolutely not for sale at any price.
Inter Milan had signed Skriniar from Sampdoria last year for €30millon plus Gianluca Caprari and since then has been first choice in the Nerazzurri defence.
The 23-year-old took part in all of Inter Milan’s 38 Serie A games last season, scoring four goals.
It is reported that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants Skriniar to come in this summer, but the current £57million offer was firmly rejected.
Barcelona, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also interest in Skriniar.
Will Manchester United return with a larger bid this summer in an attempt to twist Inter Milan’s arm?
