Manchester United have this morning confirmed that the clubs youth midfielder Matty Willock has completed a season-long loan move to FC Utrecht over in the Netherlands.
The deal was expected to be concluded at the end of last week, only for the deal to be held up as FC Utrecht considered various options following their exit from the Europa League, but the deal was formally announced on Thursday.
Willock, 21, is yet to make his Manchester United first-team debut as yet, but has been training with the squad at Carrington and made it into Jose Mourinho’s side for Premier League matches against West Brom and Crystal Palace towards the end of last season, on the bench but fantastic experience for the youngster.
Matty Willock had joined Manchester United back in 2012 and was a regular starter for the clubs under 18’s before heading on up the United’s reserves.
Manchester United issued a statement on deadline day morning wishing Matty Willock a successful season over in the Netherlands, we hope he does well.
Will this be the only deal for Manchester United on deadline day?
