Manchester United want to make two more signings this summer - Report

Jose Mourinho still wants to add a winger and a full back to his squad before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month, according to reports.

The Portuguese highlighted a centre back, a striker, a defensive midfielder and a winger as the four areas he wanted to address at the start of the summer. And he has duly added Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic to the ranks ahead of the 2017/18 season, but continues to pursue Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic as his desired winger, although negotiations are proving difficult, with the Serie A side demanding Anthony Martial on loan in return.

M.E.N‘s Samuel Luckhurst has revealed that Mourinho, on top of a winger, wants to add a full-back to his side before the window closes in a few weeks.

The 54-year-old, speaking soon after his side’s UEFA Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid, admitted that he had given up on his pursuit of Bale after the Welshman started in Skopje, leaving the intractable Perisic as the only viable option out wide.

A number of full-backs have emerged over the last few weeks as possible options: Danny Rose, for example, has been a figure of interest this summer but Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to let another one of their full-backs join a Manchester club and will not, as seen with United’s brief interest in Eric Dier, play fair when it comes to negotiations. This is Daniel Levy we are talking about, after all.

Paris Saint Germain’s Serge Aurier remains a potential target, with the Ivorian keen on a move away, but criminal charges incurred last year following a nightclub incident could lead to a bureaucratic process that takes too long.
