Manchester United’s all-time appearance record holder Ryan Giggs has suggested that his old club will likely find it hard to tempt long-time target Gareth Bale from Real Madrid. Giggs, who retired as a player in 2014 before serving as Louis van Gaal’s assistant for two years, thinks that his fellow countryman is too settled in Spain to consider a move back to the Premier League.
Speaking to the BBC, Giggs said: “He looks happy at Real Madrid. I don’t think he’s going anywhere at the moment. From a fan’s point of view, it would be great to see him back in the Premier League.
“The United fans would love to see him at Old Trafford. You talk about the big clubs and United is up there. While he’s happy there , I can’t see him leaving.”
