Mourinho: "We controlled the game"

Despite Manchester United snapping a streak of three consecutive draws in the Premier League with a 0-3 victory over Leicester City on Sunday, Jose Mourinho was keen to state that he felt that his side hadn’t played better than usual. United, who beat the reigning champions with goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Juan Mata recorded a victory in the league for the first time since January 2nd, but their manager felt it was business as usual.

Speaking to MUTV after the game, the Portuguese offered this on the match:

“I think we played like we normally play. We played well, we tried to win. Obviously the opponent is difficult but that’s something we are used to. We didn’t have the best start – in the first 15 or 20 minutes. But then we started to have control, we moved the ball around, we created chances, we scored goals. That’s the only difference – that we arrived at half-time with a 2-0 result. Then we controlled the game and it was quite easy.”

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
