It appears as though Manchester United already have big plans in place for this coming summer’s transfer window if the Independent are to be believed
The report suggests that talks between United and Atletico Madrid for the sale of Antoine Griezmann have been ongoing for months, with the La Liga club resigned to losing their talismanic French forward at the end of this season. At least the team from the Spanish capital will be well compensated, given that Griezmann’s contract currently has a clause of €100m.
Rumours of the former Real Sociedad player making the move to Old Trafford have been swirling for some time, but this is the first time that a notable British publication have openly suggested that a deal for Griezmann is looking likely. It would be a massive capture for the club, cementing their status as one of the big players in the transfer market and bringing in a player of world class quality to a side that has seen improvement under Jose Mourinho this season.
