Manchester United finally join the chase for Youri Tielemans, but is it too late?

Youri Tielemans is one of the hottest young talents in world football. At just 18 years old, he already has 95 appearances for RSC Anderlecht, sealing 13 goals and 13 assists from central midfield.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris-Saint Germain and Manchester City have all been heavily linked to the Belgian wunderkind, and it’s now being reported that Manchester United have joined the chase.

Unfortunately for the Red Devils, he may have already agreed terms with another club. Apparently Diego Simeone has already got his mitts on the top prospect.

Spanish news outlet AS has previously announced that La Liga club Atlético Madrid have already agreed terms with Tielemans, ready for when he decides to leave Belgium.

The youngster’s speed and technical ability is astounding for someone of his age, and his ability to find an acute and accurate pass anywhere on the field is just incredible. His only noticeable flaw would be his intent to defend, which would prove to be an issue in the Premier League, but not for Atlético, in La Liga.

Of course, with Youri being so young, he will grow into the game, and overcome this slight flaw to his game.

Anderlecht legend Par Zetterberg, speaking to FourFourTwo, had this to say about his old team’s new star:

“He is a phenomenon. There are not many players better than him.”

Mohammed Ouabhi, youth coach of Anderlecht also spoke of the talented Tielemans:

“We have always known Tielemans was a super talent. Whenever anyone asked me who I thought would go far, I would mention his name first.”

Hopefully Manchester United will pull out some more of that “Special Money” that they used to acquire Anthony Martial.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
