Manchester United put in a fantastic performance against Sunderland yesterday, winning the game 3-0. Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay all got on the score sheet.
Despite Matteo Darmian having to play at left back, which brought Antonio Valencia into the right of defence, the back four were solid all game. They left very little for their goalkeeper, David De Gea, to deal with.
Luckily, De Gea was always ready and managed to keep his first Premier League clean sheet of the season.
It was United’s striker force that ruled the day. Each of Anthony Martial, Memphis Depay, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and, substitute Ashley Young, either scored or assisted a goal.
Manchester United’s right winger, Mata, managed to get both a goal and an assist.
Here’s how the players reacted on Twitter to the big win that has put the Red Devils at the top of the Barclay’s Premier League.
