As good as Anthony Martial has been performing, and as cheap as the Bastian Schweinsteiger steal was, the best news from Manchester United’s summer transfer window was that they get to keeper David De Gea.
Admittedly it wasn’t really down to the Red Devils, a huge thanks goes to Real Madrid’s failings in submitting paperwork. But still, keeping the Spanish keeper ins still the best thing that’s happened to the Manchester United team for the last couple of seasons.
Despite conceding 5 goals in just 3 appearances, compared to Sergio Romero’s 4 clean sheets in 6 games, De Gea has been instrumental to Manchester United since his return. He’s made so many otherworldly, match winning saves.
If not for Anthony Martial’s brace, Big Dave would have been given the Man of the Match award. His highlight being the incredibly late, left handed, reaction save from a headed effort that looked to have already gone past him.

David De Gea will definitely keep his spot for the Sunderland game next weekend but, he may also play in the cup against Ipswich Town on Wednesday.
