Manchester United are still on the hunt for a quick and creative forward, having failed to acquire Pedro and the Bale or Neymar deals looking increasingly unlikely. Now United want Nicolás Gaitán who is a far more realistic target than the other players that the Red Devils have been linked to.
Nicolás Gaitán, or “Nico”, currently occupies SL Benfica’s left wing. The 27 year old Argentinean has played 217 games for the Portuguese side, scoring 30 goals and assisting 69. He displays all of the skills, quick feet and flair that other top Argentineans poses.
United have reportedly pulled in super agent Jorge Mendes to bring Nico to Old Trafford. Mendes being the agent that has helped bring superstars like Di Maria and Falcao to the red side of Manchester last season.
Rumours claim that the move is edging very close to being a done deal, and giving United their 6th new signing for the new season.
