‘Not again…’ – The words on every Manchester United fans lips this evening as according to the Daily Mail, Jonny Evans is set to be ruled out for up to a month.
Jonny Evans went off injured in the first-half against Leicester City on Sunday and was pictured leaving the King Power Stadium on crutches, now the latest reports to come out are that Evans has had a scan at the start of this week, a scan that revealed he will be on the sidelines for at least a month.
The news comes at a bad time for Manchester United in defence, with Phil Jones not able to return for another three-weeks and Tyler Blackett suspended after getting sent off during Sunday’s match against Leicester City. Leaving Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Rafael the main names at the back to face West Ham United this Saturday.

Here we go again! We have the worse, most feeble CB’s in the league. Got to clean out this weakness at the very first opportunity. Jones, Smalling and Evans must have accumulated the most injury time in the Barclays than any other team.
I dont know why we keep on buying attacker’s and forgeting our defence, sir alex says ”attack wins you macth but defence wins you throphy’s”
I want to see the scout report on Jones and Smalling! Injuries to them is so regular that you cannot expect them to have learned enough to fill in for Vidic and Rio…………of all the 3 greats who left….I wish we could’ve kept at least 1 back for another season…..
If I should advice LvG,he shuld buy 2 new central defenders and sale jones, smalling n evans. The trio r injury prone, they have not played togeda for a month without injuries, there by enhancing the rate of instability n loss of form always. If u look at chelsea, their defence r steady week in week out, that’s y they r tight in dat area.
We just need consistency at the back.
