Shinji Kagawa was unavailable for selection over the weekend for Manchester United due to an illness, but David Moyes confirmed after United’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United that the Japanese International had to have his stomach pumped after consuming too much food.
Speaking to the media after the match, David Moyes said:
“Shinji was very sick after the [Everton] game and he did a bit of training on Friday but he was low
“All of the stats that we look at were low so we felt we had better not take a risk in case we got an injury by playing him.”
“It was a bad sickness. He thinks he ate too much, and he had to get his stomach pumped, but I think he is okay.
Manchester United will be hopeful that Shinji Kagawa is back on form for their final group game in the Champions League on Tuesday night against Shakhtar Donetsk at Old Trafford.

One reply on “Shinji Kagawa has stomach pumped after eating too much?”
Perhaps Shinji couldn’t stomach the crap he’s being asked to put up with.
I know that I too have had a gutful.
