Federico Macheda returned to Manchester United at the start of the week from his loan spell at Doncaster Rovers after suffering a hamstring injury against Leicester City on Saturday.
The Italian striker was on a month-long loan at Doncaster Rovers and was more than impressing as their strike force in the Championship.
Macheda is now back at the Carrington Training Complex to recover from his hamstring injury with Manchester United’s medical staff, once recovered Doncaster Rovers are more than interested to take his back on loan.
Head Doncaster Rovers coach said:
”He came off with a tight hamstring [on Saturday] and will be missing for a good few weeks but we are still looking at extending his deal as we hope to have him back soon.
“We are speaking to Manchester United to do a deal to get him back once he is fit.”
Next up for Doncaster Rovers is an away trip to Reading, 888sport online betting are offering odds on a Doncaster win at 4/1, very attractive odds.
Macheda going back to Doncaster on loan after recovering from his hamstring injury is the best option for the striker, it is obvious that his future is not with Manchester United, so sourcing Championship clubs or a future abroad move would be best.
