Manchester United's Scott Wootton set to sign for Leeds United

According to reports, Scott Wootton is set to move from Manchester United on a permanent deal to Leeds United.

Wootton did not feature for Manchester United in their 4-2 defeat to Liverpool last night at the Salford City Stadium and is likely to put pen to paper with Leeds United as soon as today.

It was thought that Scott Wootton would be moving to Leeds on a month-to-month loan rolling contract basis, but talks seem to have moved the process to a permanent deal with both clubs.

David Moyes is believed to favour young Michael Keane over Wootton as a defender at the club, having taken Keane out on pre-season tour with the first team.

Leeds are likely to push the move through this week in time for paper work to be finished so that Wootton can make the squad for their away trip to Ipswich on Saturday.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
