Former Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has denied media reports that he has signed a contract extension with current club Real Madrid.
In today’s Spanish national newspaper, Marca, they reported that Ronaldo had signed a fiver-year deal keeping him at the Bernabeu until 2018. Reports that Ronaldo himself has denied straight away.
Speaking at a press conference in the USA, he said:
“The situation still hasn’t been resolved and I don’t think now is the right time to talk about it.
“Perhaps we’ll be able to give more concrete news about this further down the line but now the only thing in my remit is to train and work.”
Media reports in the UK state that their have been talks behind closed doors regarding bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford this summer.
The club have yet to comment on the speculation, but will make a third attempt to sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona for a reported £35million offer.
