Manchester United’s Michael Carrick is looking forward to getting started under David Moyes as the new manager and has only heard good things.
David Moyes was officially announced on Thursday after as the new Manchester United manager and speculation grew following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement on Wednesday morning.
Speaking with MUTV, Michael Carrick said:
“I think he [Moyes] has obviously done a terrific job at Everton, he’s been there for a long time now with great success for the resources that he’s had and he’s well respected with everyone I spoke to.
“All the players who have played for him all enjoy playing with him and say good things about him, obviously enough for him to get the chance to be the manager of this great club. It is an opportunity for him and opportunity for everyone else to maybe do things slightly differently but keep the success rolling on.”
“It’s obviously a big change because this club’s being run for so long under the same person
I’ve worked under a few different managers in my past in my career, so I’m sort of used to a little bit of change, but yes, really looking forward to it, to meeting him and getting good training pre-season and hopefully a good future.
“I think he’s honest and he’s fair to his players as far as I’m aware and I’m sure that’s the case. He’ll set high standards just as we expect high standards of ourselves and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Up united
As i’ve hard and read 4rm many people arround the world, i’ll go with david moyes as our coach and i wish him the best and he should put in mind that he’s at a club with alot of goals to achieve for the club and us as suporters and we’re ready to give him full suport
David Moyes is a prolific manager and can bring spark to the game even with less talented players as he has shown at Everton. But bringing Fellaini at Old Trafford will be a huge mistake on his part, because it’s his duty to adapt and not for the united players to adapt to new recruits from Everton. So beware Moyes, this is MUFC and there is a pool of evolving talents, just give them their chance. Otherwise Moyes will be comfortable in the driving seat at MUFC as united players have already the winning instinct and leave no room for defeat.
