Sir Alex Ferguson has said that Rooney is recovering from an injury that he picked up for England and is keeping him rested for the Manchester Derby next Monday.
Paris Saint Germain face Barcelona in the Champions League tonight and are odds-on favourite to win a league and cup double over in France.
Speaking with Sky Sports, Al-Khelaifi said:
“He is a great player, one of the best strikers in the world, I think everybody would like it to happen.”
