Antonio Valencia has admitted that his form for Manchester United this season has been disappointing.
Last season Valencia picked up the Player of the Year award with Manchester United but this term has failed to recreate anything close to the form that we have all seen.
Antonio has acknowledged that his performances have taken a dip but claims injuries have not helped this term.
Speaking with the Daily Mail, Valencia said:
“It’s not been quite the season I would have hoped on a personal front,”
“The injuries I’ve had have held me back a bit. I still get the odd twinge from the last injury I had to my leg and that perhaps affected my progress slightly.”
Valencia joined Manchester United from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2009 for £16million.
