Federico Macheda, currently on loan at Stuttgart from Manchester United has stated that he is open to a permanent move at the end of the season.
Macheda is currently on loan with the German club until the end of the season after a not so impressive few season with Manchester United after ‘that’ goal against Aston Villa.
The Italian claims that he is enjoying his time in the Bundesliga and would be prepared to discuss a deal if the opportunity presented itself at the end of the season.
Speaking with Bild, Kiko Macheda said:
“In the winter, the move [to Stuttgart] was only a loan option but I knew there would be a chance to remain at the club after it, if Stuttgart want to sign me permanently, I would be very happy.
“Back at Manchester United it was always difficult for me due to the competition for first team spots.
“It would be great to remain at Stuttgart. Over here the coaches are working with young players and I feel I could progress at this club as a player.”
Macheda’s current Manchester United contract is up in 2014.
