Davide Petrucci is currently on loan from Manchester United at Peterborough United and today against Leicester City he scored a wonder strike!
As you can see from the above GIF from Beautifully Red, a fantastic volley from outside the box flies into the top corner as Peterborough came from a goal behind to win 2-1.
Petrucci came out last week to state that he is hoping to impress Sir Alex Ferguson on his loan spell at Peterborough and if he continues scoring goal like this then he is sure to be noticed.
Petrucci said:
I like it here, it’s a new experience for me and I’m very excited. Hopefully, I can do well here.
”It’s a great thing to have, knowing that he [Sir Alex] speaks to his son every day so you want to do as well as you can every day so he can hopefully tell him something good and I can go back there and play.
”I think 80 per cent of players do this step. Unless you’re Wayne Rooney or a player like that, you have to start in the Championship and get experience. I want to do well and hopefully go back to United and play one day for the first team.”
