Coll Donaldson is set to move to Manchester United on a trial period from Scottish Football League first division side, Livingston.
Ged Nixon, Livingston’s chief executive has today confirmed that the the club have allowed youngster Coll Donaldson to undergo a trial period with Manchester United.
Donaldson, who is 17, is regarded as one of the best youth prospects in Scotish football, will train at Carrington Training Complex with a view to being offered a full contract at Manchester United.
Nixon told reporters
“Coll was watched by Manchester United in a couple of reserve games and Martin Ferguson wondered if they could have a look at him, they’re looking after him and he’ll train with them before they decide what they want to do. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the boy.
“No matter what happens in the end, it will let him see what’s out there and he’ll train in fantastic surroundings at Carrington.”
Not only Manchester United have been watching Donaldson, a host of Premier League clubs are also believed to be monitoring his progress.
