Rafael da Silva and Luis Nani will miss the trip as the squad travel over to Swansea today as both are still injured.
Last weekend Phil Jones was drafted into the squad as Rafael da Silva missed the 3-1 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford with a hamstring strain and he will not travel for this weekends clash with Swansea.
Luis Nani is also still out of action after suffering a hamstring strain.
Yesterday, Jonny Evans signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2016 and is available to travel to Wales.
Speaking at his weekly press conference Sir Alex Ferguson said:
“Jonny has had one or two injuries but hopefully they’re behind him now, he’s fit for Sunday, while Kagawa takes training with the first team on Monday.
“Vida is doing great in training, it’s just a matter of picking the time to bring him back. It gives me options with Smalling, Jones, Ferdinand, Evans. It’s very good, and better for us. Rafa won’t make Sunday’s game as he’s still out with a hamstring. Nani is still injured. Apart from those players, we’re all right.”
“You’ve seen the results they have had and the progress they have made as a football club over the last years,” he said. “The important thing for me is that they try to play and have the courage to play their football. At this time of year, all the games are challenges and they come thick and fast now. Utilising the squad is important, as is picking the right team, but hopefully we can get through it and be in the same position as we are now.”

Don’t really care about Nani, but rafael we’ll miss his linkup with valencia, but jones did really well in our last game, think he íڪ a better crosser than Rafael thou.
maybe u should think back when valencia poor performance lately
We ‘ll really miss rafeal cause valencia perfume less without him.
Seconded to that opinion as Nani has been out for too long. Also, he’s been out of game spirit for long because of his injury unfortunately. But, Rafa, being a key player will surely create a hole in the team for missing Swansea clash. Hopefully, we win against them. Glory glory Manchester united.
I dont care abt nani let him go bt we miss rafarel da silva
I want Nani to stay and win more trophies. As for Raph, we ‘ll sure miss him & wish them quick recovery.
I miss Nani so much. I have respect for the whole team but some people are so predictible to the extent that I a mare fan can know what they gonna do with the ball. Nani at his best offers the unpredictability which has left defenders thinking twice before going for the ball in his legs. Its really easy to forget what a person has done n is able to do n mostly when the individual is unlucky. Look at Antonio Valencia, of late he has been the most frustrating player for us. He seems to have lost his crosing boots n all he can do is his TM running n then loose the ball. However he is lucky n doesnt get enough stick from fans.
you guys are ingrate nani is a great player he has always helped united ! now during his hard times you are refusing to stand by him ! ingrates what sort of a team fan are you . only resonable ones understand you guys are selfish and only care about yourself .. I hope nani returns back to form
I dont understand why people are criticizing nani for his inconsistency, where infact valencia and young r also playing poorly..SAF give the boy his chance he deserve it
Inconsistent is the word we usually use when we talk bout nani, but the truth is dat neither Ashley Young or Valencia is consistent this season. couple of yrs ago he been our best player.truth be told our entire defence is not consistent. Give nani hi chance to play n shine… Another word to look at is predictability”… ashley young and valencia r predictable… They both have speed so defense know what to expect ( speed n cross) dats y we struggle when we play teams with similar speed eg spurs, but with nani defenses dont kno what to expect.
