Anders Lindegaard this week has come out and declared that there is no place in the world he would rather be than Manchester United, also hoping to challenge David de Gea for the goalkeeper’s jersey next season as does not want to be left on the bench.
Anders has now enjoyed 18 months at the club and is very much seen as the joker of the camp behind the scenes at Carrington. After some fantastic performances last season while David De Gea was injured Anders became frustrated by injuries towards the end of the campaign and recognises that he has a lot of work ahead of him in pre-season.
Lindegaard will have his chance to shine over in South Africa and Chine as David De Gea will be away on Olympic duty with Spain for the London 2012 Olympics.
In an interview with BT, Ander Lindegaard said:
“There is no place in the world I’d rather be than Manchester United,”
“But I don’t want to be on the bench for the rest of my life. When you’ve experienced how it is to start for United, you would do anything in the world to experience that again.”
“When you play for a club like Manchester United every game throughout the season is important.
“These first ones are even more important as they give me the opportunity to show that I’m back to the level I was before my injury.”
