Mourinho ready to sell Manchester United defender this summer

According to a report in The Mirror, Luke Shaw is ready to leave Manchester United, and Jose Mourinho will not stand in the England defender’s way. The report, which states that Manchester City have a vested interest in the services of Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose suggests that Mauricio Pochettino will move for Shaw should City snap up his left back.

Should that happen, Shaw would likely be receptive to a move to the London club, given that he has only started six Premier League games this season, and has frequently been on the periphery of Mourinho’s first team plans since the Portuguese took over the side last May.

It would represent a sad end to a United career that had promised much when Shaw signed from Southampton in 2014. Then-manager Louis van Gaal publicly criticised the player’s fitness when he took over the club that summer, before a horrific double leg-break in the group stages of last year’s Champions League ended his season in September of 2015.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
