Jose Mourihno’s Journey at Manchester United

After being taken over from Louis Van Gaal the past summer, the expectations of Manchester United’s fan have been sky high for the current season. Under the new management of Jose Mourinho and with the addition of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, all the football enthusiasts have been further convinced that the good times are set to be back at Old Trafford.

Lately, many have criticised United’s struggle to reach their top form under the new management of Jose Mourinho. For much of this past autumn, critics have been flowing as the coach appeared to be both disinterested and sullen. However, now things are working out for the best at the club after their latest four match winning streak. And hope is once again back at the United’s camp. Their latest victory of 2-0 against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League, took the pressure off the shoulders of Mourinho and at the same time it is ensuring that the pressure is kept on Tottenham Hotspurs, currently on the fifth position.

More importantly, Mourinho will no longer be branded as the worst manager for the past thirty years. Under Mourinho, Manchester United have indeed been able to secure three straight Premier League victory since their draw on December 4th to Everton. Many have been doubting the management skills of the ‘special one’ since he joined, and even compared him to David Moyes, who made himself an infamous reputation at the club after succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson in the year 2013.

The former Everton coach brought the same number of points as Mourinho after 14 games back in 2014. But then at the same point of time, Moyes only brought six points, while Mourinho has done much better by adding 9 additional points to the counter of United. Now Mourinho is most probably looking forward to do better than his predecessor, Louis Van Gaal, who got 32 points in 17 games, which is two more than the current coach, with 30 points.

Things are certainly looking good for both the Portuguese and his squad, as United is preparing to play against teams that are much below them on the Premier League table this Christmas. This is the right time that united can get back into gear and fight for the Champions League places.

The competition might be tough in the Premier League, however, Jose Mourinho reckons that United can do much better than their current performance, and be in the four top in the table. According to him, this season is not to build a team but rather to play well, and head towards the right direction.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
