Manchester United Join the Chase for Future England Striker

Manchester United have joined Chelsea and Manchester City in the race to sign 16 year old Wolverhampton Wanderers striker, Niall Ennis.

Wolves aren’t looking to sell the starlet though. First team manager Kenny Jackett has had this to say about his starlet:

“Inside the club we take it as a compliment, it’s terrific, a player who’s recently been training with our first team, he’s 16 years old and he’s not 17 until next May but he played in our under-21s against West Brom on Saturday against two 19-year-olds and played very well.”

“A player we have high hopes for, we have to make sure he stays grounded and hard-working and humble, he’s got a smashing family and a local lad, we have a real close link and work hard to keep that.”

“We wouldn’t encourage or be encouraging any bid clubs to take a talent like that away from us.”

Niall Ennis is a local lad and a life long fan of Wolves. He has already stated his excited by the though of one day, being able to step out onto the Molineux pitch.

“It’s just crazy to think that I have a chance to play at Molineux and if I scored there, I just wouldn’t be able to explain it”

He would be a great addition to United’s youth teams, which already looks very strong, fielding youngsters like: Axel Tuanzebe, Demetri Mitchell and Marcus Rashford.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
