VIDEO: United Loanee Nick Powell Scores Another Two Goals For Wigan Athletic

Manchester United loanee Nick Powell came off the bench for Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night to score two goals to secure a 3-1 win against the MK Dons, moving his goal scoring tally into double figures on his current loan move from the reds.

Nick Powell’s second of the match was the best of the bunch scoring a sublime little dink over MK Dons goalkeeper David Martin, although, his celebration was not as elegant.

Watch both of Powell’s goals below:

Powell joined Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan in the summer and the Wigan boss Uwe Rosler was full of praise for the the 19-year-old.

Speaking after the game, Rosler said:

“It was always the plan to bring Nick on if he was needed and he was needed

“He is playing here, where the pressure is on. I have to be very careful that we do not burn him out. I think it is good for us and Manchester United. Hopefully, after the season is finished, they will get a player back with more experience of top Championship level.

“What excites me about Nick is he can play everywhere. He came on as a midfielder, then I put him up front and, in many games, I play him in a wide position coming inside and I can play him as a number nine because he has a tremendous physique.”

Enjoy that? Give it a share!
