Manchester United sign Manda Fermentation on a five-year contract

Manchester United made an official announcement on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday afternoon to confirm a new five-year sponsorship deal with Japanese company, Manda Fermentation.

The announcement confirms that Manda will be Manchester United’s first ‘Official Nutritional Supplements Partner’ – To add to over 35 other sponsorships that the club has gained in recent years.

For many the announcement was met on social networking site, Twitter, with sarcasm as the club do a deal with yet another sponsor but were totally hopeless in landing player deals during the summer transfer window other than Guillermo Varela & Marouane Fellaini.

Manda is a company that produces a range of health food and supplements, that was founded in 1987. Their brand will be promoted exclusively under the Manchester United banner in Japan, where there is more than 4-million supporters.

Richard Arnold, Manchester United’s group managing director spoke with manutd.com, he said:

“This is the first time the Club has had an Official Nutritional Supplement Partner and we are delighted to welcome Manda as our inaugural partner in this sector.

“Manda is one of Japan’s leading health supplement manufacturers and they understand the benefits of natural nutrition, dedicating years of research into farming and new innovations to produce its products. Through our partnership we hope to communicate to our Japanese fans the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle.”
